Hello. I’m Fernanda, a Brazilian copywriter, author and artist based in Seattle, WA.
Today I’m currently available for creating copy, translating and reviewing content in Brazilian Portuguese.
As a native Portuguese speaker, I’m in love with my language and the art of writing. In 2018, I was invited to be part of an anthology of short stories with twelve other writers and authors. I wrote the story “Frio” (Cold) and the book “A Última Canção” (The Last Song) was published in Brazil. I’m now writing my own book of poems in Portuguese.
While studying advertising at Centro Universitário FIAM-FAAM in São Paulo, I worked at several companies as a copywriter, creating compelling, successful advertising campaigns for both business to business and consumer marketing.
After graduating and specializing in Creative Writing, I moved to New York City to study English and to expand my knowledge in another culture.
Over time, I became fascinated in manual creations and learned how to make leather bags by myself. That’s when I created my own business, designing, making and selling bags.
In March of 2020, I had the opportunity to be part of Meet the Makers Pop Up in San Ramon, California, with other women owned businesses, designers and artists, highlighted by Women Made, in celebration of Women's History Month. 2020 was the last year of Elza & Co.
While in California, I also worked at a retail company and at a school as a substitute teacher, creating activities in class and teaching kids how to write and draw.
I’m currently working for Vaco as a Content Reviewer in the Discovery Ads project for Google, since March 2022.
I'm also embarking on a new chapter in my artistic journey with a series that blends forms and marks in my ceramics. www.fern-ceramics.com
